As yacht designers we are always looking for ways to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our designs. Today, I want to highlight one design element that can truly elevate the look and feel of your yacht – ceiling soffits.
Soffits are architectural features that are installed on the underside of a ceiling. They can be used to conceal lighting fixtures, create visual interest, and add depth to a space. In yacht design, ceiling soffits can be used to create a sense of grandeur and luxury, while also serving practical purposes such as hiding wiring and ductwork.
Soffits can be designed to accommodate a range of lighting options from recessed lighting to LED strips and more, allowing us to create a perfect ambiance for any space, and we have been exploring that in some of our recent projects, including ALTA, CHASSEUR, III AMIGOS, and our most recent refit Maison Blanche.
